Meet The Barnett Family

David and Stephanie Barnett have been married since 1997.  In 2002, they adopted a beautiful baby boy at birth whom they named Copeland Shane.  A few years later, Stephanie felt the Lord leading them to adopt a child with Down syndrome so they began to pray that God would open the doors for that to happen.  Three years later, in 2008, God orchestrated the adoption of a newborn baby with Ds whom they named Silas Eli.  Silas immediately rocked David’s, Stephanie’s, and Copeland’s world.  David and Stephanie both knew that the Lord would eventually end up leading them to adopt more children with Ds so they began to pray about it.

In late 2010, the Barnett’s were led to Reece’s Rainbow.  After much prayer, the Lord opened the doors for them to commit to three orphans with Down syndrome from Ukraine with the help of Reece’s Rainbow.  In October 2011, David and Stephanie landed on US soil with their newly adopted children.  Teague Josiah (“Igor” on RR), Maclayne Faith (“Leeza” on RR), and Trenton (“Trenton” on RR) are absolutely thriving in their forever family.  After months of prayer and earnest discussion with each other and Copeland, the Barnett’s have once again answered the call to adopt three orphans with Down syndrome.  This time, they have committed to Greta, Felix, and Romeo.  Their adoption dossier has been submitted to the children’s country and the Barnett’s are anxiously awaiting travel dates.

Meet The Precadio Family

"Hi!
We are so happy to be a part of the 5/5/5/ families this month-We love nothing more than sharing this joy with other families! What is a blessing if it can't be shared?
We wanted to share with you all a little about us:
We always knew we wanted to adopt to begin our family, and we actually discussed adoption on our first date, and 2nd, and 3rd, and wedding day (which was all in a 6 month time frame!). Less than a year into our marriage, we found our Lucy-girl through the Reece's Rainbow site, and committed to her through Madison; it took a lot of convincing to everyone involved: we hadn't been married the required 2 years as set by China, and we hadn't parented before, as preferred by our agency. After phone interviews, conversations, a drilling home study, and sharing of the hearts, our agency accepted us and China approved our marriage length waiver! Fast forward to recently, when our agency was in China to visit some of their partnership orphanages and foster programs, and they were able to visit our sweet girl's foster home: there they discovered she and one of her foster brothers were very bonded and attached, (he is a sweet and deserving boy no family has ever inquired about :( ). The agency called to present this to us, and we immediately said, "Yes! We'd love to make him our son too!". So, now, here we are, racing to catch "Luke" up to Lucy-girl in the process. We are so excited to be able to keep these precious ones that have lived their lives together as brother and sister remaining forever brother and sister! God's ways are perfect and infinite and beautiful! Tears fill our eyes thinking of how He works all things together for His good, and His children's good. What a beautiful story He is allowing us to be a part of! Thank you for coming beside us and the other families this month, it is such  joy and an honor!

Meet the Piatt Family

My name is Tami Piatt and I am a single mom to 4 beautiful girls. My oldest daughter, Suzanna, is 25 and a  wonderful big sister. Elisa is almost 15 and was adopted from Bulgaria almost 14 years ago. Mary, 13, and Lara, age 11, were adopted from China.  I have followed Reece's Rainbow for many years and prayed so many of these children home yet felt my family was complete. Then in the spring of 2013 I saw a picture of a beautiful little girl that I knew instantly was my daughter. I had no idea how I would finance another adoption but God opened the doors that fall in ways that I could never have imagined. We are now so close to having her in our arms forever. This has truly been a family journey as my girls are all old enough to be part of this adoption. Our Sophie is not yet aware of how much she is already loved and wanted. God has been good to us.
